Having a child changes one’s life in lots of ways, including your travel choices. In other words, once your baby makes the scene—along with the car seat, diaper bag, toys, and snacks that tag along in the car— its time to find a suitable car that can accommodate to the child’s high expectation. Haha. Travelling with children in a car does not need to be a hassle.
Some common questions that are often being asked by people who travel with children in a car:
What age car seat is required?
All children whose weight or height is above the forward-facing limit for their car seat should use a Belt-Positioning Booster Seat until the vehicle seat belt fits properly, typically when they have reached 4 feet 9 inches in height and are between 8 and 12 years of age.
What age do you stop using a carseat?
A child over the age of 12 or more than 135cm tall, may use an adult seat belt. However, it is recommended that children should continue using booster cushions or booster seats until they are 150cm (4ft 11in) tall.
Do children need to buckle up?
We know that when adults wear seat belts, kids wear seat belts. So set a good example and buckle up for every ride. Be sure everyone in the vehicle buckles up, too. Buckling up the right way on every ride is the single most important thing a family can do to stay safe in the car.
